2009 is coming to a close...

It's about 10:30 PM on a Wednesday night and I'm in a reflective mood. It's partly due to this book I've been reading, The 50th Law (I'll elaborate on the book in a later posting). This year has been an interesting year for me. I went on my university's first civil rights' spring break tour...I graduated from college...I went to Las Vegas for the first time...I took a year off between college and law school...I got my first job in Corporate America.

As I reflect back on this year, I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments. I wrote my senior thesis, worked, helped run a sorority, and graduated from college...all without losing my mind (although I did lose some sleep lol). I've started my applications for law school and I'm on my way to becoming a lawyer.

While I feel that my academic/professional life is on a good track, I feel like I need to work on the social aspect of my life. Don't get me wrong, I've developed some really good friendships this year but I still feel like there's more that I'm missing out on.

So for 2010 I'm going to make some changes...I'm going to be more fearless and put myself out there more. This year is about change...it's time for a new chapter in my life and I'm ready for it...2010 here I come.
